Stores Team Leader wanted!



We are looking to recruit a team leader to manage our stores/warehouse function for Heatrod at our Bolton site. Managing a small team of 2 we are looking for someone who has the knowledge to drive continuous improvement in our stores function.

Full Time – 38 hours per week (working pattern to be agreed)

(£22,500 to £25,500 dependant on experience)

Having recently moved into a brand new, environmentally conscious production facility in Bolton we are uniquely positioned to provide electric products and solutions using manufacturing processes which are sympathetic to our precious environment. Main Purpose of Post:

  • To be responsible for a small warehouse/stores team
  • To run and develop the warehouse function for the company
  • To liaise closely with the purchasing and internal sales teams

Key Accountabilities:

  • To the Operations Manager and Value Stream Leader
  • To the internal and external customer ensuring timely receipt and delivery
  • Stock management

Main Responsibilities:

  • Management of the Warehouse Team (day to day activities, training and development)
  • Implementing procedures and processes and ensuring same are adhered to provide a high level of service internally and externally
  • Co-ordination of warehouse team workloads to ensure efficiencies
  • Carry out goods in inspections procedures on all items received
  • Develop and implement stock handling procedures
  • Stock accuracy
  • Work alongside the internal sales team to ensure timely dispatch of goods

Essential Criteria:

  • Demonstrable experience in a similar Team Leader role.
  • Broad knowledge of warehouse operations
  • Computer literate, experience in Microsoft packages
  • Understanding of relevant health and safety requirements
  • Ability to work on own initiative, proactively problem solving
  • Well organized
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Experience of Continuous improvement techniques and the ability to use same

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience of e-commerce
  • FLT licence and Reach Truck Licence
