  • Benefits of Titanium Sheath Immersion Heater Elements

    A titanium sheath heating element consists of a wire resistance coil surrounded by magnesium oxide powder (MgO), encased within a titanium metal tube (sheath). It is particularly recommended for use within challenging water conditions, as the titanium sheath offers a greatly reduced risk of failure and leaks.Titanium resists corrosion and pitting which means that element life is significantly greater than that of an element manufactured with an alternative sheath of copper or incoloy. This is especially true when operating within very hard or chemically aggressive water. Ultimately, the exceptional corrosion resistance, results in a longer element lifespan and therefore, lower replacement costs for the end user.
