10 reasons to use Braude equipment

Industrial equipment for use in corrosive and process liquids

1. Over 65 years’ experience of heating applications in the metal finishing, steel and chemical industries.

With over 65 years of experience in process heating and cooling applications across the metal finishing, steel, chemical, marine, defence, nuclear, and aerospace industries, Braude has established a strong reputation for technical expertise and reliability. Founded in 1957 in London, we have been manufacturing heat exchangers and heaters since 1974. Over the decades, we have built extensive specialist knowledge particularly in the heating and cooling of corrosive liquids, which remains our core area of expertise.

2. Braude is now part of a global network of companies.

Braude is part of a global network of companies. Following its acquisition in 2016 by Backer Heatrod Ltd part of the NIBE Elements division of NIBE Industrier AB the long‑term future of the Braude brand was secured. Today, manufacturing of the full Braude product range takes place at our modern, purpose‑built production facility in Bolton, and our products are now available throughout the wider NIBE Group.

We remain fully committed to the long‑standing Braude tradition of high‑quality products and exceptional customer service. Our core focus is, and always has been, the customer. We view every customer relationship as a partnership because without our customers, we would not have a company.

3. Products are up to date and continually improving

We ensure our products remain current and continuously improved. Our policy is to develop and update our equipment whenever possible by incorporating the latest available technology. We carefully monitor the quality and suitability of every product to ensure it performs as intended.

Regular communication with our customers is central to our development process. This enables us to provide tailored modifications that meet the specific needs of each application.

Safety is a priority throughout our product range. To support this, we have introduced several controller options that provide additional layers of protection, including systems that prevent heaters from reaching excessive temperatures. One example is the Thermaster OTP, which prevents overheating of Polaris heaters and ensures safe and reliable operation.

4. Excellent service and order turn around

We pride ourselves on excellent service and fast order turnaround. We maintain stock of both finished products and spare parts so that we can often despatch orders on the same day they are received. For items that are not held in stock, we can usually manufacture them within a very short timeframe. Our objective is always to meet our customers’ requirements as efficiently as possible.

Our sales and technical teams are readily available to provide advice, guidance, and support whenever it is needed. We are committed to ensuring every customer receives a high level of service from the first enquiry through to delivery and beyond.

5. Our full range of products, which range from heaters, controllers and control panels, are available from one source

We offer a complete range of products, including heaters, controllers and control panels, all available from a single source. We continue to expand our product portfolio because we believe many customers benefit from being able to order everything they need from one place.

The most recent addition to our range is the Polaris Neptune series of tubular MI heaters. These heaters feature a moisture proof head that fully seals the joint between the heater and the lead, which is essential for reliable performance in wet or corrosive environments.

We can also supply the necessary controllers and ancillary equipment required for safe and trouble free operation of all heating systems. In addition, we provide surface heating cables through our group company, Heat Trace Ltd.

6. Braude engineers will calculate your specific heating requirements.

Braude engineers will calculate the specific heating requirements for your application. The first step in selecting a heater or heat exchanger is to determine the heat output needed.

Simon Ellam, the Managing Director of Heatrod Elements said ‘the Braude division is a valuable and profitable part of our company, but we know that if we do not invest in the brand it will not grow and we will not be able to continue to provide the current level of service to our customers.

Therefore, all our developments are geared to enable us to provide better and more efficient products and service which in turn will lead to expansion. Our clients can be certain that we are here for the long term and will be able to continue to support our products once they are in use.
