A brief history of Shel.
Shel was opened in 1963 by Mr Dennis Scholes, who retired as Chairman at the end of July 1997,and the late Mr Fred Hunt. Still a family concern with the founders sons Michael Scholes and Andrew Hunt as the joint Managing Directors. Michael Scholes is also the Sales Director. Andrew Hunt is also the Manufacturing Director.
In March 2000,as well as continuing to produce in the UK we opened our own factory in the Peoples Republic of China to produce large volume products at very competitive prices but still maintaining the Shel quality that we are renowned for.
In 2004 Shel became a member of the Nibe Element group. This facility which is BEAB approved is now producing large volumes of elements & shipping direct to our customers all over the world. 40% of production is exported world-wide to Europe, Middle East, Africa, Far East, the U.S.A. Canada, Australia, New Zealand.
Shel Customers include: Philips, Matsushita (Panasonic), Electrolux, Earlex, Triton Showers, Heatrae Sadia. Every element leaving our factories, are subject to stringent testing and inspection. So ensuring top quality products for our customers both here in the UK and abroad.
